Kelley C. Cox, Esq.
Litigation Manager
Kelley C. Cox is a commercial litigation attorney with more than a decade of experience representing businesses and individuals in complex, high-stakes disputes across federal and state courts. His practice spans contract disputes, business torts, securities litigation, bankruptcy and restructuring matters, and real estate- and asset-based disputes.
Kelley has represented clients in a range of significant commercial matters, including defending corporate and individual clients in multi-million-dollar litigation involving trade secret misappropriation, breach of contract, and successor liability claims, and helping secure a favorable resolution of a $220 million securities fraud class action by developing a factual record challenging causation. He has also represented international agents and investors in contract and tort disputes tied to EB-5 projects, including obtaining dismissal of federal court claims.
Many of Kelley’s matters involve multi-party disputes arising from business relationships, where claims for breach of contract, fiduciary duty, and fraud intersect with issues of control, financial rights, and operational decision-making.
In addition to traditional commercial litigation, Kelley has extensive experience advising operationally complex businesses, including healthcare companies and private equity-backed ventures. These matters often involve contract enforcement, financial mismanagement, and regulatory considerations that require aligning legal strategy with business operations and risk.
Kelley also has substantial experience in restructuring and bankruptcy-related litigation, including Chapter 11 and Subchapter V proceedings, estate recovery actions, and fraudulent transfer claims. He has served as lead counsel in a restructuring and litigation strategy involving a multi-property real estate portfolio, coordinating asset-level disputes, stakeholder interests, and overall disposition strategy.
Earlier in his career, Kelley advised clients in government investigations and regulatory matters involving the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and international compliance issues under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), including assisting a multinational healthcare company in resolving an investigation with potential exposure exceeding $200 million.
He has also represented clients in arbitration proceedings before the American Arbitration Association (AAA), FINRA, and JAMS, and in post-arbitration enforcement actions in federal court.
Throughout his career, Kelley has managed all phases of litigation, including case strategy, dispositive motion practice, discovery, depositions, arbitration, and trial preparation. His practice is grounded in developing practical, results-oriented strategies focused on resolving disputes efficiently while protecting his clients’ business and financial interests.
Kelley earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law and his B.A. in Economics from Brown University, where he was a First-Team All-Ivy League linebacker.
